Here is a FUN and EASY mini album. I created this album in less than 15 minutes using a Pebbles Creative Pad. These pads come in many different themes and are only $5! The only other thing I added to this album is ribbon and I bound it with the Bind It All, although you could easily punch holes and use binder rings!

Many of you have asked, so I wanted to post my first pages in my Everyday Life 2009 Album. I am using a We R Memory Keepers Black Linen 3 Ring Album with some divided page protectors. I have not done my title page yet. What you are looking at here is the first double page spread for Week 1 (Jan 1-3, 2009). Many of you have asked if I am going to use coordinating product throughout the album and I am going to shock many of you, but I do not plan on doing so. I have a product stash (GASP!) just like many of you and plan to use it. I want this to be an eclectic album that just shows a glimpse of my life. :) Actually, the first 9 days of the year, I do not have a picture of a human in my pictures. Day 10, Anita (actually her son did!) took a picture of 3 of us having Rhubarb! Can you believe I had never had it before? It was yummy! So Anita, if you are reading this, I need a copy of that picture.
Another customer, Debbie, sent me the next two links and I wanted to share them with you. Thanks Debbie! The journal boxes are prinatble on a wide format printer and the next file is a list of 365 ideas to take pictures of from Creating Keepsakes. Enjoy!

This mini album was inspired by Shanan Simmons. She did one of these albums back in November of her family to carry in her purse. It was a HUGE hit! We now have some luggage tags in the store to sell. I made this album for the purpose to carry in my purse. This would make a great teacher's gift with pictures of their students, a great idea for young children to learn names of family members, and a fun valentine project. Enjoy!

You can download the instructions here. Here is the first mini album of the week for 2009! COMPUTER STUFF! I plan to use mine to keep track of websites (log ins and passwords) and blogs I frequent. You know how you see something online like a scrapbook idea or recipe and now can't remember where? This is a great place to jot down the address. I also forget my log ins and passwords. I plan to keep all of them in this mini book and keep it on my desk. Now I know what some of you are thinking... is she that stupid? No, I am not planning on keeping my bank, credit card or other essential stuff in this book, just the FUN stuff. Although, I don't think it would be a bad idea to make one for your essential info and keep it in your safe, safe deposit box or other safe place and let someone know where it is. Just sayin'!
Have fun!

Simply Scrapbooks is participating in an exclusive retailer Page of The Month Program for 2009 with Basic Grey. I'm very exicted about this program as it is all about YOU!
Do you shy away from creating "All About Me" pages? Most scrapbookers do and you've heard me harp at you that it is important to include yourself in your scrapbook (I harp at myself also, because I'm not the best at doing that though I am getting better.) So join me (Terri) each month for a special class to create a 2 page layout all about You! (and I get to do it too!!!!)
Don't worry if you can't make a scheduled class, as each kit has all the products needed, step by step instructions and color photos so you can create at home. Kits are limited and 1st priority for class each month will be for those who commit to the full 12 month program. If there are spots left after that, then individual classes can be signed up for. At the end of the 12 months, anyone who has done the full 12 months will get a bonus 13th layout FREE! Plus we will share our albums with each other at an "I completed an All About Me Album" party! What a fabulous gift to yourself or to give to a family member next Christmas.
The BG class will be held the 3rd Thursday of the month from 6-7:30 pm! January's class is Thursday, January 15th from 6p to 7:30pm. The cost is $15! We have just 2 spots left! Call the store to reserve your space! 918.343.5553

Join Simply Scrapbooks in this creative endeavor to capture 1 photo per day in 2009.
Our motto for 2009 at Simply Scrapbooks is to “Do Something Creative Everyday!”
Please don’t let this be intimidating. If you miss a day, NO BIG DEAL! The purpose of this
project is to capture everyday life in 2009. Some days you might have perfect pictures to capture
and other days you might just be looking for something to take a picture of to get it done!
That’s okay! At the end of the year, you will have close to 365 pictures (and I say close to
because certainly we will miss a day!) and 52 layouts (don’t freak out yet!, I am going to show
you how I plan to CHEAT!) done. What an accomplishment!
I wish I would have began this project a week ago so I could have offered you a glimpse about
what my project will look like, but I didn’t so you will just have to trust me on this OR follow
your vision!
I have started a mini notebook (not even decorated YET!) and kept track of what picture I took
and jotted down a few quick thoughts on why I took the picture. Every week I should have 7
pictures to scrapbook. I am not going to use my traditional method of scrapbooking NOR IS
THIS TAKING THE PLACE OF MY TRADITIONAL SCRAPBOOKING, I am going to
use a 12x12 We R Memory Keepers Linen 3 Ring Album (we have post bound also!) and
divided 4 x6 photo sleeves. Get it? I am going to slip in the photos in the photo sleeves and
just scrapbook a few 4x6 rectangles with the date, journaling and embellishments and my weekly
layout will be finished. Did I just hear you say you would love to do this but you haven’t taken a
photo everyday this year? NO problem, either go back and take the photos for the past week,
or just start NOW and forget it is already January 4th!
I want to be held accountable. Anyone joining me? Email me (terri@simplyscrapbooksok.com) and let me know! Trust me, you will not want to miss out on this creative endeavor!

*** Winner Day 11 Cards! Magazine Bundle Mistey Book!*** ***Winner Day 12 Zutter package Cheryl Carter!***
Prize: Zutter Bind it All Binding package!
Tip: My mantra for 2009 is going to be Do Something Creative Everyday & Enjoy Everyday. I noticed Becky Higgins is coming out with a Photo a Day concept for 2009. I am not sure I could take something that big on, but I sure want to try. I LOVED Ali Edward's idea of a picture a day for December. I did that. I was going to show you my album but unfortunately, I have kept up with the journaling and photo a day, but not with the scrapbooking part. I will try and post it on the blog at a later date when I get it finished. Anyone else working on last minute gifts? :)
Recipe:
Egg Salad
6 eggs hard boiled
Mayo or Miracle Whip
Mustard
Onion
Sweet Relish
Chop eggs with pastry blender and add onion. Add relish, mustard, and mayo by the tablespoon until as thick or thin as you like for a sandwich.
There are not any specific measurements for this recipe. Salt and Pepper to taste.
Leave me a comment and tell me one of your goals for 2009!
